Puffs: Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic, opens this week at Orcas Center for six shows only from February 28 – March 9. Directed by Jamey Moriarty and staring an all-local cast, you won’t want to miss this gem on the main stage!

Puffs is a delightful and hilarious play from Matt Cox that takes a playfully satirical look at the world of magic through the eyes of the often-overlooked group of students…who also happened to attend school at the same time as a certain, very famous, boy wizard.

Cleverly referencing and paroding many familiar tropes from the illustrious wizarding universe, but from the perspective of those who are not necessarily the heroes of the story, the show’s charm lies in its humor, its lighthearted yet heartfelt moments, and the way it presents the Puffs’ adventures with endearing sincerity.

With sharp wit, endearing characters, and moments of genuine emotional resonance, Puffs is a fun and memorable experience for both fans of the magical world and newcomers alike. An original comedy that takes place in a familiar world, but ultimately a world of its own creation, Puffs celebrates being the underdog and finding your own magic in life.

Please note – Puffs is rated PG-13 with some adult language and some references to dark themes. A strobe light will be used during the performance. Our Place Coffee Co will be on-site serving themed drinks! You can even order your beverage ahead of time at https://ourplacepreorder.square.site/
