What to expect during construction: Traffic control, including lane and entire block closures, detours, flaggers and limited access. The road will be pulverized with heavy machinery in multiple phases.
Trenching to remove and replace the entire stormwater conveyance system including manholes, catch basins and stormwater treatment facilities. Trenching to install conduit and piping to support underground infrastructure. The road base will be rebuilt, graded, and compacted with vibratory drum rollers. Concrete sidewalks and driveways will be formed, poured and cured, resulting in temporary access restrictions or alternative access routes. Construction
activities will result in dust, noise, and vibration. We will be working hard to complete construction in a timely and friendly manner, and to provide accurate and current information. Please note that Prune Alley will be a construction site this year.
Construction to support the Prune Alley Street Improvements includes planned road closures and detours this week
• 02/03/21 Prune Alley from Fern Street to A Street
• 02/04/21 A Street between Prune Alley and North Beach Rd

And how are e, as a community, acknowledging and honoring the changes to our Village? I was sad to see Fern Street Park dismantled- the benches and sculptures removed.
This piece of land, a part of our Village, will soon shift form and no longer hold the same energies. How will we acknowledge this ending of what is?
