This Tuesday, President Obama will address the nation’s students with a message supportive of staying in school and achieving educational goals. The broadcast is scheduled for 9 a.m. PST and can be seen on C-Span.
The message will be broadcast in the OISD classrooms. Parents who are interested in previewing the President’s message should be able to do so no later than Monday at www.whitehouse.gov
Orcas School District Superintendent/High School Principal Barbara Kline said, “The President of the United States is making a speech to students about the importance of schooling and hard work. Whatever our politics, the students should be able to see and hear such a speech. Hopefully, it will inspire a few students to set goals and work hard in school to achieve their goals.”
