POSTPONED | August 26 Clinic expansion town hall

The second Orcas Island Health Care District (OIHCD) community town hall had originally been planned for Wednesday, August 26th, from 5:15 – 7:00 PM to share progress on the Island Primary Care – Orcas Clinic Expansion project. OIHCD had previously held a town hall about the same subject on Thursday July 23rd.

Because of the challenge of estimating total costs of the project, OIHCD will be making an adjustment to their current planning process to add a pre-construction phase based on current design development, which will better assess the total cost of the project. 

OIHCD will be postponing the August 26th town hall until later in the Fall, after the completion of the pre-construction work, likely in late October or early November.

OIHCD appreciates the feedback already provided through community engagement activities, including the previous town hall. The district looks forward to providing more updates for the community at our future town hall.
