Plant for the Planet is coming to Orcas Island on Saturday, February 14, for a valuable and free Climate Ambassador training of youth ages 8-14, at Orcas Island Elementary School in the Gymnasium.

Are you and your children interested in the opportunity to become members of a worldwide network of committed children who have together already planted Billions of trees and begun the important work of climate justice?

This all-day academy for kids emphasizes personal action and motivation to understand climate change, make a difference, and take action and/or participate in related activities.  The movement was started by a 9-year-old in 2007.
Volunteers are needed to help with lunch and snacks during the day, help planting a tree or two, and working in small groups with kids during the team building exercises and Climate PowerPoint presentation.
The Academy is from 9 a.m. until 5:30.

You can sign up for free online at climatechangeforfamilies.com or call Adrienne Reed at 206-696-1280 for more information.
