Lauren Kreiger, MD, has joined the Family Medicine team at PeaceHealth Peace Island Medical Center.
Dr. Kreiger is a board-certified family medicine physician with a master’s in public health. She comes to San Juan Island from Cleveland, Ohio, where she worked as a physician at a Federally Qualified Health Center, providing inpatient and outpatient care.
Dr. Kreiger received her medical degree from the University of Vermont, Larner College of Medicine, and completed her family medicine residency at University Hospitals in Cleveland. She earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Albany, where she also earned a dual bachelor’s degree in biology and information studies.
She is passionate about providing high quality, compassionate, evidence-based medicine. While she enjoys all aspects of family medicine, she has additional training and interest in women’s and LGBTQ health and caring for underserved populations.
She is a skilled educator, having precepted and mentored both medical and nurse practitioner students, and has a passion for quality improvement. Outside of work she enjoys spending time outdoors, gardening, hiking, cycling, yoga, scuba diving and musical theater.
