BELLINGHAM, WA – Susan L. Reed, NP, joined the PeaceHealth Medical Group Cardiology team of providers in January 2022, based at the Anacortes clinic at 1017 20th St. Reed brings extensive experience as a cardiology nurse practitioner to PeaceHealth and has been a certified nurse practitioner for nearly two decades.

Reed previously practiced as a cardiology nurse practitioner at Swedish Heart and Vascular Clinic in Seattle, Washington. She has a Master of Nursing from the University of Washington and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Washington State University. Reed has served as a preceptor and mentor to new nurse practitioners sharing her talents to build up the skills of new professionals. Over the years Reed has also shared her expertise through publishing research and presenting at conferences.

Patient education is at the forefront of the care she provides, and she believes a collaborative approach is key. “I enjoy teaching patients about their health, any testing or procedures they will have and about their medications,” she said. “We are a team, and I want to be your biggest supporter.”
