OrcasHub, the island-grown platform designed for neighbors to exchange goods, is celebrating its first successful year (a few months late). There’s a thriving community of over 1000 members, and new listings every day.

Today, OrcasHub is excited to introduce the OrcasHub Groups feature. Just as the classifieds section took inspiration from Craigslist and adapted it for our island community, this new Groups feature is inspired by Facebook Groups and creates a space for community conversations without the dependence on large tech corporations.

Members can communicate through the web interface or via email, making it ideal for both one-way communications like newsletters
and interactive discussion forums.

OrcasHub Groups is perfect for:

  • Clubs and special interest groups
  • Small organizations and non-profits
  • Homeowners associations (HOAs) and neighborhood groups
  • Buying clubs, and more.

OrcasHub remains free for all members, relying solely on donations from those who are able to help support our operations. If you are part of a group that could benefit from this service, we invite you to reach out and see how OrcasHub can support your community.
