Calling all sailing enthusiasts! On May 28th, join us at 6:30 PM at the Orcas Center for an evening dedicated to the joy and community of sailing. The premiere of Carl Davis’s new film, “The Magic of Sailing,” invites you to experience the world of sailing through stunning visuals captured right here on Orcas Island.
Festivities kick off at 6:30 PM. Attendees will enjoy the film, a popcorn bar, a silent auction filled with unique items—ever wanted to sail with an Olympian?—and special presentations by Sail Orcas that will inspire you and have you looking for the nearest sailboat…
Tickets are available online and at the door. Every ticket purchased and every dollar raised directly benefits Sail Orcas!
“The Magic of Sailing” not only highlights the adventurous spirit of your local sailing community, but also serves as a vital fundraiser for the continued support of Sail Orcas. Sail Orcas has served Orcas Island for three decades, and continues to be the most accessible program in the Northwest. Eighty percent of Sail Orcas participants are the first in their families to learn sailing, a sport that imparts many essential life skills, from confidence-building to problem-solving, resilience, teamwork, and communication, and appreciation for the environment. We are incredibly proud of this tradition and grateful to our island community for its support over the years.
