— from Shannon Wilbur for San Juan County Public Works —

The road is nearly 50% complete and the Contractor has spent most of the week adding the final layer of gravel to the road so the County can chip seal next week.

During chip seal work, the County will use a pilot car to guide traffic through the site. Afterwards, traffic control lights will be back in place as road construction continues northward.

Speed limit in the entire work zone is 25 mph. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.
