Dr. Rosie Kuhn, author, well-known life coach and longtime resident of Orcas Island is celebrating the release of her 13th book that just hit stores this past week. “I’ve Arrived! Well, Sort Of: 101 Discoveries and Revelations Stumbled Upon While On the Sacred Path to Who Knows Where” tells the discoveries and revelations of Dr. Rosie as she moves on her path toward, well, who knows where!
This 13-time published author has been a resident of Orcas Island for 20 years and she is no stranger to the adventures life has to offer. Kuhn leans on her human experiences to put words to her pages. From her years spent studying Psychology to her months spent crossing the Atlantic Ocean, she has learnt the value of reflecting on adventures of the human experience.
Kuhn says “Whether you’re crossing the ocean or crossing the street, you’re on the hero’s journey.” Each of her books are focused on the fulfillment of the human spirit and coming to know yourself through the direct experience of your own life.
The pages in her newest book “I’ve Arrived, Well, Sort Of!” contain timely lessons of how a transformational coach trained herself to stretch, strengthen, and expand who she thought she was into someone she didn’t even know existed. In this light hearted, spiritual self-help book Kuhn teaches how exercising and experimenting with leaps of faith can allow for the extraordinary to occur.
Commentary From Orcas Island Readers
Some readers in the Orcas Island community have taken well to Kuhn’s newest book. Orcas resident Heather Stansbury says “Rosie Kuhn knows how to embrace the childish wonder and curiosity of spiritual exploration,” while referring to Kuhn’s delivery of life advice as “an art form she has mastered and thankfully shares with the world.” Another local, Marj Franke, says “This is not a book to be swallowed whole and set aside. It is to be slowly chewed and savored. You can drop in on any page, skip around, read a little or a lot and make notes.”
