The PTSA October meeting will be a School Board Candidates’ Forum featuring all of the candidates for election to the School Board this November. Two of the races are contested this year, with Jim Sullivan and Chris Sutton running for Orcas Island School Board Director #1 and Bob Connell and Tony Ghazel competing for the Director #2 position.
Written questions may be submitted at the PTSA forum, to be held Wednesday, Oct. 7th, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the school library. Childcare will be provided.
There will also be another opportunity to hear from the candidates at a forum sponsored by the League of Women Voters, Monday, Oct. 12th, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Senior Center. This forum will feature the candidates in the contested races for School Board, Fire Commission, Sewer Commission and Orcas Park & Rec Commission.
