The Four Directors: Four Artistic Directors have led Orcas Choral Society since its founding in 1977. This month, they all gathered to celebrate performance of Handel’s Messiah.
Left to right: Roger Sherman, Marianne Lewis, Catherine Pederson, and Bruce Langford. Orcas music teacher Catherine Pederson and pianist Louellen McCoy created OCS; Pederson served as artistic director through 2010. Organist and conductor Roger Sherman then led the chorus for six years, followed by organist and conductor Marianne Lewis through spring 2022.
