The art exhibit at Orcas Center for the month of October will follow the theme of the FILM FESTIVAL. The lobby will be filled with pieces of cinema memorabilia, vintage movie posters, etc. The Visual Arts Committee is seeking art to fill the Madrona Room. All local artists are invited to bring art. If you have pieces that depict films or film history that would be great, but all art is welcomed.
Intake for all art is Wednesday October 2, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Please note this new time frame. Please bring one to three pieces, depending on the sizes and the available space, we will hang as many as possible. If you are a local artist who is not on the Visual arts Committee’s email list contact Heidi Lindberg at lindberg@interisland.net to be included.

“Driven to Abstraction” new work by Marcia Spees is on display now and throughout the month of September. It is well worth a trip to the Center to see this show.
