Robert M. Goldstein, author of Riding with Reindeer – A Bicycle Odyssey through Finland, Lapland, and Arctic Norway will be on Orcas Island at Darvill’s Bookstore Thursday, August 12, at 7 p.m. to show slides of his trip and autograph copies of his new book. The Seattle-area author’s book chronicles his two month bicycle trip through barren land often inhabited only by reindeer.
“I think everyone should go on a personal epic once in a life time. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a bike trip to the Arctic, but something where you challenge yourself a bit and learn something,” Goldstein said. Goldstein’s book is published by Rivendell Publishing and is available in paperback.
