Hundreds of thousands of soccer fans from around the world are headed to Seattle for the FIFA World Cup in June and July – and many of those visitors will want to ride our state’s iconic ferries.

This new crush of riders will come on top of the usual surge of summer ridership.

The ferry service says they plan to have 20 of its 21 vessels ready to be put into service. 18 boats are the typical fleet serving the summer schedule.
