Newest numbers. The Washington State Department of Health (DOH) reported a total of 1,203,311 confirmed cases as of 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 23.* There have been 10,458 COVID-19 deaths in Washington.

*Data note: As noted in the new release mentioned below — Effective Jan. 24, DOH will update the COVID-19 data dashboard on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Starting with Tuesday, Jan. 25, we will no longer update the dashboard on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Department of Health to make significant changes to COVID-19 data dashboard. DOH’s COVID-19 data dashboard is now displaying current trends and information most applicable to the current phase of the pandemic. The dashboard is moving from daily updates to three days per week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). Read the full news release.

Updated DOH guidance documents

Guard members activated to support hospitals. At least 100 members of the Washington National Guard were activated on Jan. 21 to support three COVID-19 testing sites in Olympia, Seattle, and Tacoma, and to perform non-clinical duties at hospitals in Everett, Richland, Spokane, Wenatchee, and Yakima. Read the full news release.
