||| FROM IONA MCCOMBIE SMITH for AMBIKA HEALING |||

Ambika Healing is now open for business here on Orcas Island! Working out of the beloved Healing Arts Center, Ambika Healing is a massage practice dedicated to honouring you and your body’s needs. Iona McCombie Smith, the dedicated massage practitioner behind Ambika Healing, approaches each individual with a deeply embodied knowledge of massage techniques from both Eastern and Western philosophies.

Iona received her Ayurvedic Massage Certification at the Ayur Ayurvedic School and Hospital in Rishikesh, India and her advanced Thai Massage Certification at the ITM Massage School in Chiang Mai, Thailand. She later went on to receive her Washington State Massage Licence at the Northwest Academy of the Healing Arts in West Seattle. Drawing on her years of experience working in the fields of Ayurvedic, Thai, and Therapeutic Western massage modalities, she creates a treatment uniquely tailored to each individual client’s needs.

“To support each individual’s journey to a state of ease and alignment, I approach the body humbly and allow its wisdom to guide my work; facilitating a release of tension through the use of techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, muscle energy techniques, orthopedic testing, ayurvedic abhyanga, ayurvedic marma manipulation, and Thai massage.

I am passionate about supporting my clients in deepening their connection to their body, finding relief from pain, promoting ease of movement, and helping them understand the uniqueness of their needs,” Iona McCombie Smith, LMT.

Ambika Healing is now offering 60 and 90 minute Therapeutic massage sessions and 75 minute Thai massage sessions from the Healing Arts Center in the heart of Eastsound.
