— from Shannon Wilbur for San Juan County Public Works —

The Contractor has spent the week grading the road and adding the final lift of gravel. That work is anticipated to be complete by the middle of next week and then the County can chip seal the road. Chip seal operations will take two days. Once complete, the detour can finally be removed and the road opened to traffic.

There will still be a couple more weeks of work before the project is complete. In the meantime, speed limits within the road project area continue to be 25 mph.

Thank you for your continued patience during this road construction project. We are getting close to the end of it. Note that speed limits on both McNallie Lane and Dolphin Bay Road have been reduced to 25 mph for added safety. Please drive carefully and slowly through the work zone.
