— from Carol Kulminski for Orcas Museums —
Join historian and San Juan Islander, Boyd Pratt, for a talk on the history of island homesteaders, and the ways in which they came together to be self-sufficient, inspired by the following quote:
“The beauty that we see in the vernacular landscape is the image of our common humanity: hard work, stubborn hope, and mutual forbearance striving to be love” (J. B. Jackson)
Participation is open to the first 100 registrants. The talk will also be recorded and made available. To register, click here.
