||| FROM CAROL KULMINSKI FOR ORCAS ISLAND HISTORICAL MUSEUMS |||

It is with both sadness and gratitude that we must announce that Brittney Maruska will be resigning as the Executive Director of the Orcas Island Historical Museums.

Brittney, since being hired four years ago, has helped usher in a new strategic plan through the Board of Directors and built new important strategic partnerships within the community. She has helped improve and stabilize operations and organizational processes, among many other accomplishments.

Brittney leaves the Orcas Island Historical Society in a very strong position for continued growth, and we sincerely thank her for her contribution and leadership. The Board wishes her and her husband, Eric, the best of luck and opportunities in their move to Bellingham.

Brittney’s last day will be on October 15. The board is in the process of accepting applications to fill the position of Executive Director.
