||| FROM ORCAS ISLAND SCHOOL DISTRICT |||

I am a dad, a garage-tinkerer, a software developer, and a community volunteer. My son is in grade 10, my daughter graduated in 2020 and is now in college. I graduated from OISD in  1988.

I re-joined the School Board after serving eight years and then, taking a break for four years. During my previous tenure the the Board, we saw great progress in improving the physical campus, largely due to the support of the Orcas community and the strong leadership team.

My goal as a School Board member is to support this team going forward and help make choices that keep our school on a solid financial footing.

I feel so fortunate to live in a community that values public education. We all benefit when students feel supported and invested in themselves. This is true now more than ever considering the huge borden ahead of this generation.

My favorite ice cream is blackberry swirl.
