Spring is in the air and our Board election is just around the corner. Please come meet the candidates at one of the Candidate Forums scheduled next week.
There are three candidates running for two open positions in District 1: Vince Dauciunas, Mark Madsen and William (Bill) Severson. All members vote in all elections, regardless of home district.
Steve Bowman of Friday Harbor will again serve as independent moderator. Each candidate will have three minutes to introduce themselves and then the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions. These events will be focused on the election and will not include time for general OPALCO Q&A; however, some staff will be available to answer questions as much as time allows.
A smart experienced board is at the heart of good co-op governance. Get to know your candidates and share your views.

Ballot materials will be distributed to members when the election opens on Apr. 13. Please note that the election closes on May 4, before the annual meeting. There is no more voting on the boat, in order to give us more time for member activities at the meeting.
