CATHERINE NAUJOKS, 1st / 2nd Grade Teacher
My name is Catherine Naujoks and I am very excited to teach at Orcas Island Elementary School. I have visited Orcas Island many times and am looking forward to living here full time. I love the ocean breeze. I started working in the school system when my children were young, so we could have the same schedule.
I love teaching and helping students learn and grow. I have taught in Massachusetts and in Virginia over the past 17 years. I am fortunate to have worked with highly motivated colleagues that have encouraged me and helped me hone my craft of teaching.
My favorite part of teaching is connecting with the students and creating fun hands-on learning. My favorite sport is running after my grandchild. I love hanging out with my family and outdoor activities. I’m looking forward to meeting everyone and having a great school year.
