The Orcas Library’s featured artist for the month of July is painter Lynne Alexander.
Lynne paints in a calming illustrative style with a rich use of color. Some of her works imaginatively incorporate handmade collaged images.
She is a self-taught artist who has lived part- time on Orcas Island with her husband for 30 years. The Islands and the views from their perch on Buck Mountain have inspired Lynne’s many landscape paintings and continue to enrich her creative spirit.
