L.A.D.S. Adult and Puppy Classes are designed to give the skills needed to have a happy and well-mannered dog. Participants will learn about canine communication through lectures, hands-on obedience exercises, and games, and will strengthen the human/canine bond through positive reinforcement techniques.

The lead trainer is Orcas resident Lesley Liddle, a recent graduate of the Assistance Dog Institute in Santa Rosa, CA. Her training methods focus primarily on positive reinforcement and the strengthening of the human/canine bond. These classes will be for pets rather than service dogs and will teach basic obedience work.

Classes will be held at the Orcas Animal Protection Society 84 Hope Lane (just off Mt. Baker Road past the NAPA store), Eastsound

The introductory orientation (without dogs) takes place Sept 23. Call 376-6220 to reserve a space. The six-session, $120 class is limited to four dogs for each session. NOTE: EACH class is limited to 4 dogs; there will be a puppy class, an adult class, and possibly an adolescent class if needed.
