San Juan County Auditor’s Office, Licensing and Recording counter closed July 2 & 3

The San Juan County Auditor’s office, vehicle/vessel licensing and recording counter will be closed on Thursday, July 2 and Friday, July 3 in recognition of the Independence Day holiday. We apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause. We will return to our regular counter hours (Mon-Thurs, 10am-4pm) on Monday, July 6. We wish everyone a safe and happy holiday.

Wow. Closed 2 weekdays for one holiday that falls on a weekend.
Hey now, 32-hour work weeks are exhausting, cut them some slack!
The closing is most likely related to a lack of employees and budget cuts.

Paid full time to work 32 hours. Available to the public from 10-4 M-T, less lunch breaks… 25 hours of potential availability to the public each week. Not a bad gig. I guess if you already don’t work on Fridays, you can’t really take a Friday as you’re paid holiday. I get that there are rules that must be adhered to, but this arrangement has clearly created derision.
But why only the County Auditor’s Office, Licensing and Recording counter?
The rest of staff deserve FAIR TREATMENT too !!!
