Friends of the Orcas Library invite everyone to the 50th Anniversary Holiday Tea on Saturday, Dec. 3

Saturday, Dec. 3 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Orcas Public Library on Rose Street in Eastsound

One of the early Christmas Season events on Orcas Island is the Library Holiday Tea–and you are invited!

For 50 years the Friends of the Library have provided this Holiday Tea and it is not to be missed. Plan to be at the Library between 1-4 p.m. and enjoy elegantly poured tea and coffee poured from silver sets, small sandwiches and cookies and a children’s table with their own special refreshments.

Volunteers from the High School Key Club will again be assisting — in red aprons — with the tea service. In addition to refreshments and a chance to mingle and visit with friends in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, there will be a visit by Santa, crafts for the children, live Orcas music throughout the hours and a chance to purchase special donated books for bargain Christmas prices!

The Friends of the Library “Board  meets monthly and are responsible for the Library Fair in August, the Winter Book Sale in February, and the Holiday Tea in December. Officers are Pierrette Guimond, President, Jean Soderquist, Secretary,  and Lynn Carter, Treasurer. Other board members are Sandra Wilson, Valerie West, and Tim Lunde.
