For the month of August, the Orcas Island Library’s “Art in the Library” series will feature a show of paintings and photographs by Angela Dora entitled Wearing the World.
Angela grew up in the small town of Carnation, Washington, a farmer’s daughter with a wild pull to create and explore. She has backpacked, studied, lived, prayed and worked in over 20 countries before finally putting down roots on Orcas Island in 2020.
This is Angela’s first exhibit of work that blends her travel photography with a selection of her favorite paintings —an evolving practice rooted in place, memory, and cross-cultural reflection.
