The Orcas Animal Protection Society welcomed hundreds of islanders, visitors and their dogs to celebrate our “Dog Days of Summer” event at Mt. Baker Farm. On this delightful afternoon, people of all ages watched JD Platt’s very talented rescue dogs perform amazing acrobatic stunts, enjoyed delicious food and drink, played in the bounce house, rode the train and painted bandannas with pet designs. The dogs got to take home some wonderful handmade treats and free bones! We want to thank our community for your tremendous help and generous support for this event.

Our special thanks to businesses and individuals who contributed equipment and materials for the event, including: Island Hardware, Island Hoppin’ Brewery, Pawki’s, Puddin Paws Bakery, JD Platt and the K9 Kings, Country Corner, Orcas Village Store, Orcas Island Co-Op, Mt.
