Thank you for your support, of The Exchange and our current proposal to manage Orcas Island solid waste in the future. Please: sign our petition (available at The Kitchen), and contact all of our County Council members ASAP. A personal contact is of course the best.
Here are the points we suggest you make:
• Give Orcas Recycling Services the same opportunity you’re giving Cimarron, which is to address any concerns you have with their proposal
• Please do not fast track the decision of whether to award the contract to Cimarron or Orcas Recycling Services.
• Please delay a vote on that award (a vote now anticipated at10:00 A.M.Tuesday, July 24)
JOIN US FOR THE FUN Tuesday morning 7/24 on the 7:35 am boat to Friday Harbor, and be prepared to make public comment on the record , 10 am at the Council meeting.
