||| FROM ANDE & SCOTT FINLEY, LOPEZ ISLAND |||

Over the years, we have both worked with Ryan in various capacities – partnering with Conservation District projects and as colleagues on the Transition Lopez Island steering committee, the Islands Energy Roundtable, and the SJC Electric Vehicle Association.

Ryan’s on-the-ground professional experience in the areas of conservation and renewable energy have given him a solid foundation on which to build unique solutions for the environmental and economic challenges we are facing here. His ability to think outside-the-box makes him uniquely qualified to address the core problems which plague our county – recovery from Covid-19, affordable housing, development of a sustainable local food system, and broadening of our economic base to transform and balance tourism with other industries.

Ryan is progressive-minded, reliable, and tech-savvy with an unbeatable can-do attitude, boundless energy, and an ability to listen well, and stay open to a wide spectrum of ideas. Our county badly needs someone who can hit the ground running with some new strategies for an unpredictable future.

We believe that Ryan Palmateer is the candidate for the job and heartily endorse him for County Council.
