Katherine Bryant Ingman is the breath of fresh air San Juan County needs right now.  We are struggling to find our footing between financial troubles and a growing mountain of needs. The old ways have not worked. New ways, new ideas, new leadership are needed.

Katherine is a proven leader, as shown by her work with Lopez Food Share and with Leadership San Juans. She is also an active community volunteer, as a mentor, an advocate, and a coach.

Katherine is a working member of our community. She and her husband both work, and she understands the challenges of living in our strange little cocoon of islanders, where every moment is a balancing act between the incredible beauty of where we live and the struggle it takes to live here.

Most importantly, Katherine is one of those islanders who chose to live here. She continues to choose to live here, and is committed to staying in the community. As a Council member, she will take a long-term view of budgets, contracts, the economy, and the environment. She is accustomed to working with people statewide, and will leverage that experience to work with other legislators, both in Olympia and around the state.

I am excited about Katherine. I choose to support her, and I hope you will, too.
