As I reported on Tuesday evening the 12th, WSF’s reservations website indicated—as it had for some time—that beginning the next day, the 90-car Sealth would replace the 124-car Chelan on four of six daily round trips between Anacortes and Orcas.

Come Wednesday, however, the online information was changed to show that the Chelan remained on the route, with the Sealth having been moved from a shipyard in Seattle to WSF’s maintenance facility on Bainbridge Island.

Good news for Orcas islanders, at least for now.
