In recent years, the islands’ residents and industries have experienced compounding challenges; from the lack of consistent ferry service, prompt permitting from our land use department, to the general lack of follow through from our County Council. We need to have someone with proven positive history as our representative to get us back on track.
Small businesses like mine can’t afford to wait another four years for action from our local government to address the issues. Rick was there for the Orcas community from the moment he started in SJ County Council and even thru the last several years he wasn’t our elected representative.
Rick has shown up for all of us and I am eager to see him return.
