— from Lisa Byers —

The school board has put forward a bond that will address the remaining major renovation needs on campus. This makes me happy. I think it was wise for the school board to include all of the deferred maintenance needs into this one final bond request. It will improve the learning environment for our kids, so I’m voting yes.

I also support the levy to renovate the ball fields that will be surrounded by a new track. The fields will be re-graded and drain properly in order to make them safer, and the new track could be used by people of all ages and at all times of year. We have exquisite trails for walking and running, but those trails are not accessible for everyone. And walking or running are lifelong options for exercise.

Bottom line: I’m voting yes on both the bond and the levy. I invite you to vote yes too.
