— from Sara Boyle for Orcas Senior Center —
Do you know which form(s) would be important for you to have completed in case EMS is called for you? Join us at the Orcas Senior Center for the answers to these and other questions you may have relating to emergency medical forms.
As part of its new initiative promoting Senior Emergency Preparedness, the Orcas Senior Center Nonprofit will host a seminar Wednesday, September 26 at 1 p.m. to help you understand these important documents. Ms. Pat Ayers of Orcas Island Fire and Rescue will provide an overview of POLST (Provider Orders for Life-Sustaining Treatment), DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) and Advance Directives and answer your questions about them. POLST forms will be available at the seminar for participants to take to their medical provider for signature.
To register for this free seminar, call the Senior Center Nonprofit at: 360.376.2677
