||| FROM NIK SCHULZ for THE LEAPING FOOL |||

Submissions are open for the final Leaping Fool Winter Writers Series event of the season to be held on Thursday, February 15th (Submission deadline: February 5th).

“T H E  L E A P I N G  F O O L”  winter writers series continues with one final event this season taking place Thursday, 2/15, 6–8pm at the Orcas Island Winery. Submissions for that reading are now open. February’s theme will be “Messages from Place.”

Let us explore the dimensionality of place by listening to its offerings. This could be a place in mind, a place in a lifetime, a physical location, or however you interpret “place.” Attempt to move past ego layers and act as the messenger for universal wisdom. Take your time, be still, listen, let the messages from place unfold.

THE LEAPING FOOL is a community-based collaboration in which local writers, poets, and storytellers are invited to submit pieces that are shared aloud at a candlelit, evening gathering at the winery.

Submissions are open to all forms of writing and oral storytelling.

Deadline for submissions: Monday, February 5th by midnight

Reading venue: Orcas Island Winery

Reading date and time: Thursday, February 15th, 6–8pm, doors open at 5:00pm
