WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Representative Rick Larsen (WA-02) released the following statement on the Fiscal Year 2026 funding package before the House of Representatives:
“These bills provide full-year funding for jobs, education, health care and national security priorities along with two weeks of funding for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
“Supporting the package means funding these critical priorities while ensuring that FEMA, air traffic control and the Coast Guard remain operational for the next two weeks as we negotiate a full-year funding bill that ensures ICE follows the same rules as every other law enforcement agency.
“Opposing the package means shutting down the government and allowing DHS and ICE to operate with impunity as we negotiate several funding bills to re-open the government.”
