The San Juan County Land Bank is requesting proposals from anyone interested in a short-term agricultural lease of its Coffelt Farm Property. Acquired from the Coffelt family in 2011, the farm encompasses about 190 acres, and is suitable to a variety of operations.
Among its features are extensive pasture and hayfields, dairy and sheep
barns, farm stand, compost facility, market garden area, and 2,400 sq.ft. farm manager’s residence. The lease duration will be from the date of signing to December 1, 2020.
Land Bank staff will offer tours of the Coffelt Farm Interim Lease Area to prospective Lessees on Thursday, May 30 between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and on Monday, June 3 between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. Attendance at one of the two tours is mandatory for all applicants.
