The Roman Emperor Tito responds to an assassination plot with forgiveness and reconciliation. One of Mozart’s final works, this opera will be live-streamed on Sunday, Dec. 2 at the Orcas Center.

Experience one of Mozart’s final masterpieces, La Clemenza di Tito streamed Live in HD from the Metropolitan Opera to Orcas Center’s big screen on Sunday, December 2 at 1 p.m.

In La Clemenza di Tito, ten to twelve high-definition cameras, including a robotic camera that tracks the action along the edge of the stage, are used to relay the live performance at the Met. Additional handheld cameras and a steadicam are backstage to provide a fishbowl view of the behind-the-scene action, from divas in their dressing rooms to stagehands maneuvering tons of scenery between acts.

La Clemenza di Tito is set In Rome, A.D. 79 when the beneficent Roman emperor Titus uncovers an assassination plot against him planned by his close friend and fiancée, and he pardons them both in a grand final show of forgiveness and reconciliation. The virtuosic Elīna Garanča sings Sesto in Mozart’s drama set in ancient Rome. Giuseppe Filianoti is the noble Tito and Barbara Frittoli is Vitellia, in this handsome revival of one of the composer’s final masterpieces. Harry Bicket conducts.
