Eastsound Planning Review Committee (EPRC) is working to shape the future of Eastsound’s growth and development and is inviting the community to participate! On Thursday, March 6th, the EPRC is hosting its monthly meeting to discuss proposed updates to the Eastsound Urban Growth Area (UGA).
As part of the 2025 Comprehensive Plan Update, Leland Consulting Group, which conducted a detailed Land Capacity Analysis, will present their findings on housing and land use challenges, including potential options to meet state housing targets. These recommendations could impact potential land use designations, residential densities, and future expansion of the Eastsound Urban Growth Area.
The March 6 agenda also includes a discussion of potential traffic controls at the North Beach Rd/Mt. Baker Road intersection.
When: Thursday, March 6, 2025 from 3:00-5:00 PM
Where: Orcas Senior Center and Online via Teams [agenda w/ Teams link HERE]
This is an opportunity for the public to provide input on how Eastsound can evolve to meet the needs of the community while maintaining its character. Whether you’re concerned about housing affordability, land use, or infrastructure, your perspective is vital!
There are currently four vacant EPRC positions. Interested in serving on the EPRC? Apply HERE.
