What do singers, ukulele players and string students have in common? Philip Cutlip!
Renowned baritone Philip Cutlip has performed at the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival several times, and coached choral groups and students as a Festival Musician-in-Residence.
During the week of May 18th, Philip will coach Orcas Island’s “Girls with Ukes” choir, who include 4th through 8th grade girls from public and private schools. Philip will also work with High School string students, giving them the wonderful opportunity to rehearse and perform with a professional opera singer. And he’ll travel to Shaw Island to coach voice students.
In addition, Philip will conduct Vocal Master Classes with students of all ages in the community. These classes will take place Tuesday evening, May 19th, from 7 – 9 pm at St. Francis Catholic Church.
If you’re interested in this coaching opportunity with a professional singer, call the OICMF office 376-6636 to sign up. Space is limited. Interested observers are also encouraged to attend.
