It is with great joy that we welcomed our remaining third graders on campus this morning for their first day of in-person learning in over nine months!

Students and Mrs. Johnston preparing for the day

OISD’s plans have remained steadfast in our desire to transition students safely back to campus when it is deemed safe to do so.  I am pleased to announce that our request to bring 4th-6th grade students back to campus has been granted by San Juan County Public Health Officer, Dr. Frank James.  Our goal is to gradually transition these students back to campus until all K-6 students are safely engaged in learning on campus.

  • Cohort 1 fourth graders will return to campus on Monday, February 22
  • Cohort 2 fourth graders will return to campus on Wednesday, February 24
  • Cohort 1 fifth graders will return to campus on Monday, February 22
  • Cohort 2 fifth graders will return to campus on Wednesday, February 24
  • Sixth grade students will return to campus on Monday, March 1

We are excited to be making preparations to see more of our students in person over the next few weeks, and look forward to the day when we can welcome all of our students back on campus.

Stay safe and be well.
