Following their Kennedy Center performance, Complexions Contemporary Ballet troupe is coming to Seattle this weekend, which means it’s a chance to see Orcas Islander dancer, Aristotle Luna, perform.
Here’s a bit about the show:
Complexions Contemporary Ballet exhilarates audiences with their boundary-defying fusion of modern dance and contemporary ballet. With a rich Alvin Ailey lineage and a cadre of stunning dancers, Complexions has been hailed as a “matchless American dance company” by the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Following their highly successful David Bowie tribute, the internationally acclaimed company once again blends the world of rock and ballet with a tribute to the legendary Irish rock band U2. The second act of the evening will be entirely dedicated to For Crying Out Loud, featuring some of U2’s most iconic hits.
The first half of the performance showcases a diverse mixed repertory program, featuring ballets such as This Time, With Feeling (2024), Deeply (2024),
“Companies like Complexions are game-changing: they’re forging a path for what ballet can be instead of what it historically has been.” — The Guardian

So kind of you to mention Aristotle’s performances. We are excited!
Aristotle is a brilliant performer. He has amazing natural talent and boundless energy. It’s wonderful that he is finding success doing something he loves to do.
It would be great if they could perform on Orcas! Is there any chance that could happen?
