The Island Sinfonia is presenting its spring concert on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10, at the Orcas Center beginning at 3 p.m.
Conductor Jack Lynch will direct the Sinfonia in a performance of Schubert’s Symphony No. 8 (The Unfinished Symphony) and Symphony No. 9 (first movement only).
Also included in the program is Aaron Copland’s “The Quiet City,” featuring instrumentalists Wayne Holm and Ginni Keith.
Tickets are $10 and may be purchased through the Orcas Center box office. Students will be admitted free. Included in the price is a wine and cheese (and cookies and punch) reception following the concert. For more information, please call Karen Blinn at 376-6579.
