The Southern Utah University Ballroom Dance Company will amaze you as they perform their award-winning showcase Simply Ballroom, Thursday, May 13th at Orcas Center. Audiences will be treated to breath-taking lifts, beautiful costumes, and a variety of ballroom dances including the exciting Latin Samba of Brazil, the majestic Slow Waltz of Austria, the rhythmical Cha Cha from Cuba, the intense Spanish Paso Doble, and many more.
Traveling all the way from Cedar City, Utah for this one-night engagement, this energetic group will keep you tapping your feet as you are entertained by wonderful music, hundreds of beautiful costumes, and amazing formation ballroom dancing.
The SUU Ballroom Dance Company has toured throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, and Latin America receiving numerous accolades for their performances. Under the direction of multi-award-winning ballroom dance director Mark Baker, the Ballroom Dance Company is the premier performing group of Southern Utah University. The Ballroom Dance Company maintains a touring program that typically reaches more than 75 cities across the United States and internationally. With more than 100 performances each year, this professional-level ensemble delights, entertains, and uplifts thousands worldwide.
Simply Ballroom will be performed on at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday May 13th at the Orcas Center, 957 Mt. Baker Road, Eastsound, WA. Tickets are $15 general admission, $12 for seniors, students and children under 12.
