Visit Orcas Senior Center (OSC) from March 3 through April 25, Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., to experience Island Expressions—a vibrant showcase featuring three talented local artists: John Ehrmantraut, Marj Franke, and Barbara Wixom.
John Ehrmantraut, known for his work at OSC’s Grannie’s Corner and as the new Board Chair of OSC, showcases his remarkable acrylic paintings. Marj Franke, an acrylic artist since 2015, captures island life on canvas and beyond—painting on driftwood, chairs, and even game boards. Barbara Wixom’s oil paintings, shaped by a decade of study under Terry Johnson, transport viewers into surreal landscapes of light, shadow, and imagination.
