Sharon Abreu and Mike Hurwicz, singer-songwriters and co-founders of Irthlingz join the “Speak Up, Speak Out” program with Jodie Buller in the KSVR studio to talk about the role of music in climate change awareness, and to swap Pete Seeger stories.
Sharon’s one-woman show “The Climate Monologues” will air on KSVR’s “Wide World of Radio” next month. In this interview she talks about collecting those stories from everyday people who became activated because of the climate and energy impacts they felt in their communities.
Their interview on “Speak Up, Speak Out” will air on KSVR (91.7 FM) this Wednesday April 23 from 5 – 5:30 pm Pacific Time . It will be rebroadcast this Sunday April 27 from 8 – 8:30 pm Pacific. It will be streaming live at www.KSVR.org. KSVR is the radio station at Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon, WA.
