Citizen scientists from Kwiaht, BeachWatchers and the general public participated in Field Research Day today at the Indian Island Marine Health Observatory in Eastsound. They cast a seine net and identified forage fish in the eelgrass meadows near Indian Island.
The scientific beach activities are part of the Indian Island Marine Health Observatory, set up last year in East Sound. For further information and scheduled activities, go to www.IndianIsland.info
